Sidney Peck

Combining her backgrounds in both the entertainment industry and public relations, in 1997 Sidney Peck founded The Peck Company, a personal management firm specializing in talent, within months, she became one of the most sought after managers in Los Angeles. Her client roster included both emerging and established actors, whom she exclusively garnered by referrals from agents, producers, directors and casting directors.

Her entertainment career began in feature films in the early 1980s. Ms. Peck’s production experience ranges from both above-the-line and below-the-line. She was in charge of Development for four independent feature companies: World Media Productions, Inc. with Josef Shaftel and Morty Abrams (producers of “The Untouchables”); Monarch Entertainment Group with Shelley E. Reid (former Literary Head of Writers & Artists in New York); as well as Premiere Film Marketing and Premiere Pictures, Inc. (two different production arms of successful Australian indy producer, Tom Broadbridge). Additionally, she was also Executive Assistant to industry-respected producer and former agent, Pierre David.

Ms. Peck has also been involved with feature films as Unit Publicist, Production Executive and Executive Liaison to the Producers. Some of the people she’s worked with on productions include: Richard Gere, Andy Garcia, Marg Helgenberger, David Keith, Kelly Preston, Bill Duke, Elliot Gould, Richard Roundtree, Lou Diamond Phillips and Christian Duguay, to name a few. That entertainment experience, combined with executive positions at three of the nation’s most prestigious public relations firms gave her clients a unique edge. As Copy Editor at Newsome & Company, Inc., Ms. Peck was instrumental in garnering the multi-million dollar O.A.P.E.C. account. At HBM/PR as the Editor in charge of Public Service Announcements and all Corporate News Releases, she was an integral part of the firm’s early history. As Special Events Director at Needham Porter Novelli, she spearheaded projects for large, national accounts such as the California State Lottery, Dr. Scholl’s, Pacific Bell and Transamerica Life Insurance Company.

Ms. Peck has been featured in Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the Entertainment Industry and Who’s Who of American Young Professionals. She has also been interviewed by C.N.N., and was an invited panelist for industry events sponsored by Women In Film, Flash Forward and The Actor’s Workshop.

She holds an Associates Degree in English Literature from Pine Manor College (Dean’s List), a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalistic Studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (Commonwealth Scholar, under James Boylan, Ph.D., Founding Editor of the Columbia Journalism Review and the legendary Howard Ziff) and was a former Master’s Candidate at the University of Southern California (Professional Writing Program, with an emphasis in Screenwriting).
